A day's Journey

well the story goes....

8th july:

had a crunching hard time whipping the body in shape and all thanks to Ken for his guidance...definitely worth the pain... lol...but in no time myself and paul will definitely be fitter, stronger and faster hahaha

the day was also a special day.... the collection of the car... a true milestone in my short span of life...1 day short of turning 25 years of age... i've finally reach a 2nd key... the 1st one being the key to adulthood...i guess this 2nd key brought a new whole meaning to my life...the key to fly...hahaha

well...a bumpy day though... really toughen the 1 day old Singapore Road driver...considering that I'm more used to Australia roads than here...

parking wasn't that difficult after all..just a little more practise should do the job... my 1st pump at the petrol station was "OUCH" to the pocket...hahaha

my first foray out to the open roads alone in the car was kinda bumpy...mounted the kerb for a sec...hahaha phew lucky the car wasn't scratch at one bit..nor dented i hope...

next the traffic was heavy all no thanks to the "rich" novena church goers who drove...wat a traffic jam... all this for wat? for me to get to the destination at marina square... hahaha

worse was yet to come... parking lots was far from many....i was suprise.. usually in the morning to work i would see the automated machine that reads the number of parking lots available at nearly 1300 0r 1400 odd....but today! on a saturday evening....141... hahaha

i had to make u-turns find a parking lot...and finally managed to find a nifty corner lot...but it was way at the other end where we were suppose to meet!!!

today was a first too i suppose...finally got to drive my buds home "for the first time" first stop paul's place...on the way there not only was the "road reparation works" was a hazard...even the people crossing illegally across the road were!

next to ken's place...there was a road block...funny thing was...i slowed down...looked at the traffic police...and he waved us on...the next thing he shone at us again...i slowly stopped in front and open the window...he asked "why din stop?" ...i din even wanna bother but said sorry...anyway its not my fault...crapz... well ken do know the story...

oh yeah the drive back home alone was cool...but lonely... oh wellz... worse bit...i had to park way far away from my car park lot....seems like the people in my area are well to do...hahaha darn....

well...the day ended abit on a tired note...but wat a 19 hr of nerve, sweat, anxiety, pain, happiness, tiredness and most importantly...one more year older...one more year wiser... this time... one more time street wise =)
