"worsening income gap and price increases"

you know what.... the prices are getting worse lately.... just a trip down to fairprice supermarket...our supposedly cheapest of the super markets...but check out the price increases....

just the rice sections...price increase of 40 cents to 85 cents per 10 kg...

dairy products such as fresh milk or even pastuerised ones had an increase of 40 cents to 55 cents

even the bread section is not off the hook.....they already did an increase a few months back by 10 cents to 30 cents.... i'm totally expecting further increases....

dun even talk about veg and the meat sections.... all went up easily by 10 cents to 30 cents....

yikes....looks like better start eating less and cut down on snacks hahahaha

but that is not the point....to some extend i believe eating healthy, one must eat good food and nutritious stuff.... and this happen to come from better quality food products.... and if our leaders keep on telling us dun worry about the price increase and just go for the house brand ones, then we are just being told to eat lousier quality food stuff.... just so its cheaper...

imagine how 2 different kids from different background will grow up to become...one from a poor family vs a rich family.....

the poorer kid will no doubt be worse off from the very start when it comes down to basic food....
can you imagine the rich kid having those DHA or whatever vitamin filled food products and milk....while poor kid gotta deal with plain water or lucky enough maybe a decent powdered milk? am not exaggerating here but i guess some extremes are need to explain the gap...and how the ground feels right now....

CPI was just reported having increase nearly 6% over in January alone....versus a year ago....now can you imagine they just reported how much the lowest income to middle income family had real income increased? 3% to a measly 6% thats tough life i tell you...and not writing off the 2% gst hike that came along last year....

i guess our lowest rank members citizens are worse off 5%? whilst the rest of us are easily 2% to 3% behind....but then again these are just some of my tots....

i guess i totally agree with finance minister on his take on philanthropy.... its time the rich help the poor to close the gap....but then again...how many rich folks would do so much for the poor? handful only....

quite fed up with them....just 2 months ago...the phone suddenly hanged and died on me whilst talking on the phone.... now it happened again! some more they say nothing wrong or damaged with the phone.... this is the third freaking time the phone screwed up!

the first time even better still...1 month after getting the phone...it also hanged and the screen was screwed but still usable...all the service centre said was...oh your software not updated????

oh brudder....i guess this is my luck with lousy sony ericsson phone....too bad i love their functionality...but can you please stop giving me problems like that...all i want is a simple phone!

hehe youth olympics coming to town hahaha yeah! so looking forward to 2010 then....we will be big on the world stage....

imagine, circle line completed, integrated resorts done, youth olympics in town, we will be seasoned formula one nite racing location by then....all the buzz and excitement...oooh ahhhh manz wondering if i left out anything? hahaha but yes the main thing is....oohhh ahhh....

"finally.....the long awaited moment"

after months of long painful wait...my time has come to rise....only one more step to realising my dreams and i can only count on 'HIM' to bless me with this....its a long and painful wait...but its a pain i truly think its worth it....think i'm tearing a two here now....

all the words of doubts and encouragements i had over these few months have been worth while...it strengthen my resolve and determination to see it through...even if i fail to get that job...i think its worth the try and never to regret ever again =)

to all lovebirds...enjoy this special occasion...though commercialized to a way out of proportion scale... the day is still good to remember how many times we ever say 'thank you' to our other halves for the good things they did for us.... =) nice day to reflect and cherish each other and to thank god you found them in this crazy world =)

as for me, being cooped up at home now is the best way to reflect on this...hahaha thank god for everything =)

all the hype and news on the american vote for their next candidate, for their respective parties, is taking the centre stage...well the way its being run on the american soil is truly showcasing the very best of technology... latest news updated via the live coverage news on telly, online www updates and even the way the people vote...my gosh look at the gizmo they use to capture voters votes... hahaha high-tech =)

yes we are slowly moving towards a new era in the way we do things politically.... well in singapore i do hope the day will come where, if we ever get to this stage of competition for votes, we too can truly participate like that =) it will be fun.... but alas...like SM Goh said, its time we prepare ourselves for 4th Gen leaders....we better....coz time is running out for us to groom this new stewards for our country.... wish i was one of them....but alas grades not good cannot make it even through an interview hahahaha
