Christmas Love

And when the angels sing
I want you by my side
I don't care how long I've been waiting for my baby

I can't deny what I feel inside
The music plays one special song
The words that they say I hope can bring you home to me

In your eyes, I found the greatest price
You and I could not be closer
And in your arms, is everything I want
Now I know my search is over

and I don't know where you take me
But it's exactly where I wanna be

You're a Gryffinclaw!: You are a determined and
intelligent person who is used to getting your
own way all the time. You are very passionate
about your beliefs and will defend them until
your last breath. Often Griffenclaws work as
lawyers or activists because they have feel so
strongly about a certain subject. You feel that
knowledge is to be used in a practical way and
you often have a very low tolerance for people
you consider of low intelligence. Although you
aren't a social butterfly, you don't have
trouble making fiends, people are usually drawn
to you. Your weakness is that sometimes you can
be insensitive, you're too busy being witty
that you don't realize that you're hurting
peoples' feelings, often your friends. With the

Pissed Me Off

2 events pissed me off...

first is the furore going over the NS one... discipline vs compassion is the case... there is a fine line between meting out the punishment for deserters and giving them due respect...

read this article by a reporter in the papers, and yes 'SHE' (nothing against women) said, "if there is criticism, it should not be directed at the system, not the man." and "we experienced the return of a prodigal son. But rather than embracing him and his achievements, we chose to shoot him down and play up what he didn't do."

utterly disappointing and misleading. my take on this is that the system have been always right. it might not have been tweak to suit today's laws and requirements, but it has always been right. since it was in place, many countless of young men have been churned through that system... even women who have joined NS are put through that same system, despite theirs being a full time job.

as for why we shot him down, i guess its the reporters fault in the first place. they made the story, they shot the man down... National pride and duty is at stake, alot more important than what the 'deserter' have acheived. people (mostly men) in this situation would be furious if they didn't make a meal out of it...

i agree that we should be more compassionate to the 'deserter' for his acheivements are great to the country's music talent...no doubt he can be a role model for young budding musicians... but as a role model for duty and discipline, he fails quite miserably...

he faced the music, good for him for standing up as a real man. now take the criticisms head on. then the reporter had to finish off with this frustrating comment at the end of the article "now perhaps it is time to for our nation to rethink its notion of national service, so future Singaporeans will not need to have their loyalty(and their manhood) questioned unneccessarily."

WHAT THE! loyalty and manhood questioned???!?! she compared our NS to France's! i just wanna put the point across as in, here in SG, we've got how many people? 4 million with only 3.2 or slightly more are citizens...cut the numbers down to include guys only of NS age...probably around half that amount... YOU WANNA versus a Country that has 60 million!

its like comparing a pride of lions to a herd of sheeps (no direct reference to the countries lah) if one lion goes away, it means one less lion in a pride to work and to help out... but if one sheep goes away in a herd of hundreds...what matters does it makes? both also have one less...but the circumstances and seriousness of 'one less' matters!

so France can afford to stop conscription and let the men do other 'national services'... but if SG was to do that, how are we ever going to keep our interests protected? in our NS, we have avenues for budding young musicians or sporting talents to continue what they have been doing... its a matter of hard work and acknowledging the fact that they can handle both...so we do know that not every men is a warrior...

and here she is fanning the flames about the notion of NS and manhood! argh! utter spoiler... she ought to source her info right first before writing her article out...

----------------------------------

second is the INCONSIDERATE SINGAPOREAN DRIVERS!

you bloody heck bunch of snobbish and irresponsible drivers! user of the fast lane! argh!

lately i have been noticing ever since returning from overseas, our drivers have been rather inconsiderate lately...

they dun signal their intention to turn left or right...or they wanna keep left or right...so they just move without warning...no wonder we getting more and more accidents.. at least un-necessary ones

they speed dangerously along small lanes... might be seeking thrills like 'Initial D'??

WORST of ALL...they dun bloody give way to pedestrians who wants to cross the pedestrian crossing! (zebra crossing)

just last night i was at this junction and i was about to cross the 'zebra crossing' it was all clear for me to go...and there was this car, the only car, just slightly away from the crossing about 25 metres... i raised my hands signalling my intention to cross... and guess what...this bloody mitsubishi car driver just sped into the path not intending to let me cross...i was half foot out onto the road already man! this is utterly enraging for a pedestrian like myself... WHAT THE!

he didn't slow down... he accelerated... and the worst...he didn't give way! when the pedestrian is having the right of way!

if i was hit...by that speeding car...i guess i would not have found my way to this blog...

argh! is there some way we can keep our roads safer! gotta make the roads safer...think richmond think!

NS Deserters....

bleh!

i don't believe this...they are letting young men who got away scot free from National Service, by fleeing to other countries, come back to Singapore after donkey years later...only to slap them with a fine of $5000...and most if not all are not even jailed?!?!?!

Under the enlistment act if i remember clearly, those who evade can be fined up to $5000 or sent to jail for up to 3 years or both... hey even those who evade National Service and get sent to jail whilst in Singapore ...bloody hell

They should not even look at the merits of that person man...what the heck...how can this happen???

I believe the parliment should look at redefining the enlistment act and make it harsher for would be offenders...the jail term is alrite considering the NS term is 2 years now (hey at least whilst in jail they serve out that time to society) ...but hey at least raise the amount fined to at least $200,000 to $500,000 man... that will surely raise the bar a level up higher for would be rich kids who's daddies or mummies can afford to pay their fines when they actually return... crapz...

rationale for the higher fines...easy... if on average a NS boy can earn $24,000 a year, plus CPF amounting to $3,000 (est) thats $27,000 and for the 2 years he's going to serve, thats a whopping $54,000 money in income... not considering the interests he might be getting from savings and CPF....so the fines should be significantly higher than those by at least 4 times...

so why should this fellow, who got away scot free even though he is 49 years old now...pay only $5,000 at most...he's had it easy i say...don't come and say you did Singapore proud by being a world class pianist... others have done Singapore proud too and they did if after serving their NS

yes yes, say I not gracious enough, or singapore should be gracious to its citizens...but how can we let a black sheep in this case get let off the hook so easily...

probably do something more drastic, should be good.... if the boy runs and dun come back after 3 years from the day he suppose to serve NS, take back his passport and make it invalid, make him a fugitive... for such a person, he dun deserve our gracious help at all, because he can only think for himself and not for the country and greater society as a whole...

Catch I Win, Fined You Lose

bleh...no more wondering...no more catchy stuff

we are at the dawn of a new age...we are being spied monitored by "internet police"

damn... so now even the last place on earth where privacy is most freely encouraged is at RISK

so now i really wonder...if you get sued... you get fined... who gets the money? the adminstration who handled the case?...so we've got the whole list...

BUT more importantly, if they (the authorities) say they protecting the interest of the "original artiste and firms" do the "original artiste and firms" actually get the MONEY?

quite hard to say for now... i really hope they will shed light to this...maybe if they are transparent to this, helping educate the masses, it might get the people to start buying original =)

Tuesday, November 15, 2005

On-Line Fiasco

yeah the news is spreading quick, the dawn of a new age, the age of internet policing...

stopping internet file sharing is hot topic out there... i really wonder...will we be able to stamp out such activity?

why dun they just stop it at the root...making CDs...un-copy-able... or unextractable for duplicates... ok sounds extreme...and it would mean the end of mp3 players etc...lol

yeah, its such an irony... the 'yanks' started the piracy...the 'yanks' start culling their own piracy...

maybe this world would be a better place on-line and off-line...if the 'yanks' stop telling people how to lead our lives? stop making things and ending up putting new rules and regulations...

bleh... now i wonder why the world's greatest economy is the greatest economy... they just need to do that ---> do, undo, do, undo, until they leech every dollar and cent

Who's that Playa?

haha

its time to unveil the new me....

falah-nah sem ashno zalah!

A Magic Trick Gone Wrong on Messenger

was talking to my 'sista' last night, well we entered into a conversation about movies... and she mentioned about the magic trick in andy lau's latest movie... it was quite cool and pretty enchanting if done correctly...

but then writing in words over msn is quite hard to describe the trick lah... so being a kind 'sista' she drew a picture for me...

on the left (left hand) is the chain, on the right (right hand) is a ring...up to you to choose (quite harmless at this moment)

now you slip the chain through the ring and in one fluid motion to make it look magical...(ok here comes the freudian slip, i'm not going to mention how funny this drawing is... hey we are not corrupted people arrrr =p do i have to censor?)

ok so if you follow the motion =) you should get the final product...the chain with the ring together like a necklace...

ok sometimes these are funny moments in our lives, and how better not to capture it in pictures and blog? =p thanks 'sista'

The Next 45 years

not many would ever look that far, in fact i dare say most of you reading this, won't even bother thinking that far ahead...

i envision a future so fantastic, its almost quite amazing... apart from talking about my own personal life, the next best thing will be how we all will evolve and the technology that comes with it...

it seems that our progress is surely so fast in recent years, commonly known incurable viruses might be eradicated by that time... i think medical science look so bright with stem-cells research being on the up-swing of events... imagine we can repair our bodies using our own cells...thus prolonging lifespans by a good number of years... in fact it might lead us to immortality =) hahaha

bio-mechanics, leads to implants for renewed life for people who are incapable or have lost that through accidents or since birth...

computing power is definitely a constant leap, so much so we might be using holographics to supercomputing powers unimaginable compared to today's standards...

arrrr... the most exciting prospect for me, would be space travel and exploration... by then man would have set foot on nearby moon again and hopefully to mars...

despite the ups, i guess the downs are pretty much dampening too... unless we do something about it, which most likely will be heading no where...

the gap between the rich and poor will just get bigger... unless we do something to drastically reduce population in poorer nations and increase population in wealthier nations... its about balance, the huge population cannot be supported by an inadequate resource...

well....

Chinese History

had a good chance to catch up on books i usually prefer... well history books! hahaha

i guess not many people would love reading it, but somehow it intrigues me so much i feel i'm always living in the wrong era, much rather be the one writing history than reading them...

was reading alot on chinese history... of course the famed dynasties of the 3 Kingdoms to the earliest Shang, and the later Ming, Tang and Qing...Not forgetting the Qin too where all of Ancient China was presumably unified under one banner...at least during that time.

of course the ancient folklores and legends are very interesting, and sometimes you really wonder, wowz those people or beings are so damn cool... in fact i have a few favourites... fact or fiction, if they did walked the earth and did the things they do, its pretty amazing...

zhuge liang, a.k.a kong ming, or sleeping dragon, is probably all of ancient china's most well known intellect, the number one advisor that lived throughout his time...woo weee!

then you have people from the warring state era, in the likes of sun tzu and sun bin...where the sun tzu (zi) war manuals were thought of...

how about the time during the tang, ming and qing dynasties, where a few known emperors who have shown great leadership and management, quite amazing actually.

of course we must not forget the inventions that were founded by the chinese people over time...pretty amazing stuff

the compass, gunpowder, printing press and paper, the wheel-barrrow, abacus, silk, kites, iron-casting, origami of course the stern to rudders in ships...

not bad at all yah? well the inventions sure accelerated alot of areas in the future... of course not the chinese ones but european and middle-eastern technologies...

yah sadly it was the europeans and middle-eastern people who were more enterprising to move forward and improve, unlike our ancient chinese people...sadly the cause of their own backward demise for such a long time...

i could really imagine had the chinese people went forward with their inventions how many years would they have leap forward, at least 200 hundred years at least...oh wellz...too late now...

if they had done it, we might have been living in an age of space travel...thats what i presume...coz it din take long for the europeans to move from normal ornamented pistols for royalties to big boom cannons and gatling guns...and at least during the last hundred years, our move from air-flight to space flight(ok not deep far space kind lah)

our computers of today, from where we started off....wooo weee! alot of advancement i would say...well i sure wish we moved faster and leap frog into the 23rd and beyond century inventions instead...

come on chinese people! we can do it...lol (i not being biased here arrr) after all we do make up approximately 1.3 billion people at least world wide? i'm sure there is the talent and creativity amongst us and of course the rest of the world to think. =)

of course i would say the time spent on warfare did some improvemensts...but nonetheless it was for war only...not to improve lives at all...hahaha

well i must have been reading too much history books hahaha

"hanging of australian dude"

some extracts i took from this website...
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,17040262-421,00.html?
from=newsquote1

some lamers....who have no inkling clue to what they are saying at all...they should really think before saying

From: Steve
Comment: My best mate died of a heroin o/d caused by people like this. But still, taking more life doesn't solve the problem, even though he's not a real Australian we should still bomb Singapore and occupy their country for this act of aggression against an Australian citizen.

From: Neil B
Comment: The Singapore Government is an unelected dictatorship with no real legitimacy. How can the execution of a drug trafficker be justified by a government that is well known for allowing the laundering of the proceeds of drug trafficking throughout the region through its financial system? This is morally wrong and the Australian Government should end its relationship as far as possible with this morally reprehensible regime.

From: Andrew F-R
Comment: Ironically, Singapore uses the fact it is a civil and safe place with little crime to justify a barbaric and outdated practice.

some constructive comments..

From: Anthony M
Comment: PM Howard is introducing death penalty with shoot-to-kill in anti-terror laws. Why should we complain about other countries?

From: Andrew L
Comment: Anyone who breaks the law in another country should face the laws of that land. And for drugs like heroin they should get the death penalty for the crimes and misery it creates later if it gets to its destination.

Comment: I would like to remind everyone it's 400g of PURE heroine that would be processed(if I didn't remember wrongly) to make more of the stuff that ruins families. Let's remember that heroine addiction not only affect the addicts, but the lives of people around them, family, children, friends, people they rob, people who get injured or died in the process of robbery. Is the destruction of so many families and healthy lives is not MASS murder? Do advise me on a better terminology. Also, drug traffickers often purposely choose Singapore as a point of transit because passengers from Singapore (because of the tight checks) are often assumed by custom officials from other countries to be relatively clear of items like drugs, guns, explosives, bio-hazardous materials (anthrax etc) resulting in a more relaxed and expedited customs processing. So in a way Singapore is the victim here.

---------------------

so the big hoo haa here is some people dun like the way our govt is doing away with drug traffickers, by hanging that is...

i guess stopping the root of the problem would be to get rid of the drug lords... but have you seen any country taking a step ahead against them? USA maybe? no? Britain? no?

what is the best way is to deter would be "carriers", education and social support... less people carrying drugs, less people take drugs...all these needs for capital punishment will eventually be stopped...

so i totally support capital punishment in the mean time despite is cruel subtleness..

"airlines"

the competition is heating up and muahaha SIA is on course to be the first airline to fly this mega-flying machine...

now now...who needs the hopping kangaroo as a partner...go fly kite i tell you...we will kick your butts goodbye... ultra-protectionist... you will never go far...

ok some background info on this flying fortress..

Details:
A380-800 Range 14,800km (8,000nm).
A380-800F - Range 10,370km (5,600nm).

A380-800 - Wing span 79.8m (261ft 10in), length 72,75m (238ft 8in). Height 24,08 m (79ft)

Standard seating for 555 passengers on two decks in a three class

A380 has 49% more floor area but only 35% more seats (in 555 seat configuration) than the 747-400, allowing room for passenger amenities such as bars, gymnasiums and duty free shops. (now now, isn't it COOL!)

Using the most advanced technologies, the A380 is also designed to have 10-15% more range, lower fuel burn and emissions, and less noise.

of course we all know that SIA being SIA, we would never use the max 555 seats...haha they most likely will offer less seats in exchange for more comfort and plenty of comfort zones for the passenger... as usual top class act =)

"There will be less than 480 seats in a three-class configuration on the Singapore Airlines A380" extract from Singapore Airlines website.

now how cool can we get...oooh la la...can't wait to fly soon hahaha

"virus attack"

computer virus, influenza, to the deadly HIV.... some we came to deal with over time...

but lately some interesting ones cropped up...

we've got our dear friendly dairy madness---> "mad cow disease"

our well known oinkish cousins---> "Nipah virus a.k.a pig's version"

nowadays our feathered friends are not spared either---> "avian flu"

ok lets see, oh come on Earth, when's our seafood dudes going to have one of their own to call "deadly virus".....how about our solar powered greenies?

i can imagine.....

"crazy fish disease"--> swarms of ikan bilis ravaging colonies of sea breams in an induced madness caused by a virus, dolphins attacks killer whales, turtles storming beaches in a savage rage!

hmmmmmmmmm

what's next? dunno man...at the rate we are going...i suppose we might have to eat ants for dinner staple soon... how about a scrunchy nice juicy fat worm for protein? =p

"action"

i have been out of action from the blogging world for about 4 days? hahaha...yeah...have been trying hard what to blog...

alas up till this moment i'm pretty much blank...so just crapping away over here... not much happenings on my life though if you must know... so to all my friends out there, here's the update of my boring life...

nothing but work, sleep, study, eat, exercise.... hardly have been out... no life practically...until today...met few friends for dinner...but not really the kind of outing i wanted...i guess everyone is tired...

had earlier on planned to meet up tomorrow instead, alas, there have been changes not to my liking... if not tomorrow would have been fun, active and better off... oh wellz, i'm just a minority...i guess no one likes an active lifestyle.. =(

next monday's meeting with another grp of friends probably ain't my cup of tea either, just dinner, after work hours and probably all just dead tired...but what to do... i gotta live with those decisions that always seem to counter what i want... where's the active outing i crave... haizzzzzzzzzzzz

no choice, time to take action

"Trouble-makers"

hate it when people start to make trouble for you...they go all out to destroy what you have acheived...maybe these people just feel like some "heroes" already

damn these people i say!

one of my favourite bloggers have been hit by such people...damn! made her lose her endorsements from a company...just because they say "she is bad influence" to the masses of young teens and people who visit her blog... get lost lah! i say you "trouble-makers" are the bad influence, teaching everyone to be back-stabbing and crucifyingly inclined!

so if xiaxue was to mean any harm to you people, take it to court lah! why so afraid? until must go by the backdoor, by attacking people through underhand means... is it becoz you learn from history "to hit where it hurts most"?

crapz lah... so now personal comments on everyday life is also being scrutinised, then where is our avenue to let it out loud? come on...if you dun like how we say things, go ahead and make your "valid point" and "DISCUSS" don't "DEMAND" that we are bad influences! and crash our lives with your "heroic" acts of patriotism and valiant spirit!

politically, things on it will never be escalated into some unreasonable stage... socially, we are all equally responsible for our actions and thoughts, we are of equal status and no one should feel inferior or superior... so the recent "events" happened over time, are of really of great debate...

anyway before you wanna attacks someone, please go through the facts, LOOK at YOURSELF first, whether YOU'RE PERFECT, then decide if YOU GOT THE RIGHTS TO attack others!

"well i learnt this from one special friend who's in gippy now, ain't she wonderful" hahaha ok ok i learnt my lesson...

"risk-laden insight"

had a moment to think about something with regards to gambling...since the big hoo harrr nowadays in singapore is about the new casinos within the "integrated resorts"

so the topic for today is rather interesting...its with regards to "toto" or lottery draw...

below is the prize winning...

The Group 1 Prize is guaranteed at a minimum of $500,000.
Prize Group Winning Numbers Matched Prize Amount
1 6 numbers 33% of prize pool
2 5 numbers plus the additional number 13% of prize pool
3 5 numbers 13% of prize pool
4 4 numbers plus the additional number 13% of prize pool
5 4 numbers $30 per winning combination
6 3 numbers plus the additional number $20 per winning combination
ok, say when someone buys a system 12 roll (12 numbers at a cost of $462, yes its that expensive) and manage to win...for once...

that person would have gotten...(assuming he or she wins all seven numbers "6 drawn and 1 additional numbers" and that the prize pool is $500K)

1 share of grp 1
6 shares of grp 2
30 shares of grp 3
75 shares of grp 4
150 shares of grp 5 =$4,500
200 shares of grp 6 =$4,000

based on some earlier figures,
grp 2 prize money we assume earns $30K per shares
grp 3 prize money we assume earns $1K per share
grp 4 prize money we assume earns $500 per share

so with such an assumption...the total prize money a winner will get would be 180K+30K+37.5K+8.5K=256K excluding the grp 1 winnings

i roughly estimate and assume the total winnings (excluding the grp 1 earnings) will range from around 120K to 300K...depending on the prize pool...

so for a mere $462 you could stand to win $120K to $300K (NOT GURANTEED), that's if you are so darn lucky!

imagine now you're a millionaire with spare cash in hand...wouldn't you wanna try your luck on this as an investment? the draw happens twice a week for 52 weeks a year...thats going to cost you $48,048 in investment...sounds alot doesn't it?

but your returns can either give you returns from -100% to 32500% in returns....wahahaha sounds crazy...(all these are ASSUMPTIONS) translate it into numbers... you either lose all of it or make back a cool $15 million bucks a year...

"indecisiveness"

its kinda irritating me alittle at the moment... fed up with that attitude...

you've been doing your best to accomodate everyone's plans so that finally you can fit something workable for all to participate, and here that one person is backing out... not backing out of the thing...but rather indecisive...not giving a clear early indication to whether its on or not!

reasons abound...it seems ridiculous that for one day in their lives, they cannot just make it easy for everyone to meet up? 12 months, 52 weeks in a year, 365 days, nearly 8760hrs, 525600 mins.... and yet you cannot just fork out some time to make it??? it will only probably take up 4 to 8 hrs at most ...when you gather with everyone to catch up...

and there you go, not too sure should you give up meeting the group or preparing yourself for something that you do not know will happen at all... advance planning have been made... simple yes or no would do...why hold up everybody's plan... ???

----------------------

"another seperate issue..."

why do people cling on to something they know their chances are slim? maybe becoz they feel there's hope?

would you wait for someone for the rest of your lives just so you can be with him or her? despite the cruel way they have treated you?

say they scold you...abuse you...making you their "back-up" plan if things don't go right....bad boy bad girl....call you last minute....doesn't it make you sound like a play-thing?

what's wrong? well....i've been told about such a story... i was rather amused at first...in fact more of boiling deep down...

but i guess i'm no different by those whom have been blinded by that devotion and love...

i'm also no different from those who have mis-used and mis-guided ourselves to dominate over others...

flaws and perfection are the yin and yang of life i suppose... we neither can be too perfect nor can we be too flawed... in every sense there is a balance

but despite saying so much...haha i'm still fed up!

"4th blog and more to come"

managing my fourth blog from today onwards... hahaha its sort of a collaboration with one of my buddy to connect a circle of friends together, no matter how continents or time differences seperate us...

its up already and there is an link to it...mostly skeleton format now...have to do up the main stuff later once i get the details...

a bit on the background about that blog... it is about the catholic faith...so its kinda religious in that sense...but really its more of a way of connecting pple rather than spreading the faith as yet...

our goal there is to update us on information regarding the faith and of course the important dates...sort of an online reminder...and yet it will connect that circle of friends...

its more of keeping the faith...rather than spreading the word...of course inevitably if you wanna put it that way, it might influence...but i rather say its more of a personal choice...

well all the readers are welcome to visit the site and give comments ok... =)

"my fav. soccer club"

well guess not many people would have guess which soccer club in the world is my favourite one...

most likely common ones would come up like... man utd, arsenal, chelsea, liverpool amongst the english clubs...

both the milan clubs or juventus seems the likely italian ones.

real madrid or barcelona are the spanish primera liga...

well big clubs no doubt...but my heart lies with a smaller london club with quite a huge loyal fan base... have been supporting them since i was first introduced by my cousin to that club...

well tottenham hotspurs, london club playing at white hart lane with an good crowd of 36,000 supporters at every home match, at the grounds...

<----- there you have it... my favourite club... lots of great players came and gone...but one things for sure... the spirit of the white hart lane lives on...

haha hopefully this season they can reach for a place in the champions league...finally after so many donkey years they've got a chance at european competition experience once again... =)

"energy!"

was just wondering why, singapore won't start encouraging private home users to install solar resources?

solar powered panels and lights are great ways to save money, cut down electricity usage (those generated by non-renewable sources) and well great way to save the earth?

is it becoz too ugly? hahaha maybe....

how about the public side? more solar panels for our street lights? given our technological expertise...we could build a network of solar panels ontop our street lamps...to generate power during the day time...and this is stored at a central unit that will power up a district of street lamps during the evening to morning time...7pm to 7am those sort of timings...

well i sort of second guess the reason why the authorities on this din wanna do such a thing... probably coz of the cost... solar installations aint the cheapest things in the world right now... on a small scale probably yes...but on a larger scale it will require alot of financial resources, not just to get the parts needed, but to overhaul the system and maintenance required...quite daunting indeed

next it might be quite an ugly sight to be installing such a device...imagine our roof tops are covered in blue silicon membranes...haha just to capture solar energy

and this might even bring a barrage of criticism from old time energy firms...wahaha namely the oil and coal industry...it will be a lost to them actually if you think about it...

well i think on bright side if we did use solar, we will cut down our emissions on fossil gases, cut down on our bills, save the environment and somewhat interesting...hahaha

i guess cost factor vs environmental factor dun quite meet eye to eye yet... well i guess we have to wait till the earth gets too angry with us and strike back like it did over the last few months ...

only then we will wake up??? dunno man...go nuclear? haha i doubt we should go fission...maybe fusion sounds reasonable... well another 100 yrs or more to go i suppose... the day it materialise...will be well into the next 3 to 4 generations...unless we make that leap now...we will never going to see new frontiers...hahaha

"of being overseas then and now"

back then... just before i left the shores of sunny singapore, i realise that the world is my paradise... one that would see me walking onto different foreign shores and never to return until a much later date...

3 years later all that has changed, i'm rather contented to where i belong... where my home is... where my family and most of my friends are...

now i rather be travelling around the world exploring as a tourist or as an adventurer... rather than settling down at a foreign place for a few years before moving on...

all these thoughts? thanks to my time spent in one place...AUSTRALIA... no doubt the place is one of the last best places in the world to sit back and chill out...

but the lifestyle over there dun suit me at all... i'm neither a eurasian nor a caucasian whom i can relate to an english or "westernised" lifestyle...it does not suit a born and bred typically asian blood ME...

i'm more accustomed to seeing my glorious chinese, tasty muslim dishes and aromatic indian cuisines... yum yum... thank god ...singapore is one truly a nice melting pot of asian flavours... phew...nothing beats a place i can call home...

well to me...i dun mind travelling for work...but my heart still lies in this small little fishing village turned thriving metropolis city state...

well this are my own personal thoughts on where i feel i belong... and i'm sure to each and everyone of us, we've got that special place we all call home

;)

how about dating 5 gals at one go...just for the fun of it...and see whom i get lucky with?

how about flirting around with any gal i can get my hands into?

wahahahaha sounds so scandalous....the thought of doing it, is so daunting...and throw in the equations of moral high grounds and resources to do that....

well.............. who knows =p

----------------------------------

--> a sizeable saving prefably enabling me to retire early...wahahaha

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

You are:

  • slightly expressed introvert
  • slightly expressed sensing personality
  • moderately expressed feeling personality
  • slightly expressed judging personality

Take test here.

well here's some of the extract....of course with bias selection hahaha

dunno about this...
Protectors find great satisfaction in assisting the downtrodden and can deal with disability and neediness in others better than any other type. They go about their task of caretaking modestly, unassumingly, and because of this their efforts are not sometimes fully appreciated.

wahahaha ice-cold king?
Their quietness ought really to be seen as an expression, not of coldness, but of their sincerity and seriousness of purpose.

huh....... must this really happen???
Protectors are willing to work long, long hours doing all the thankless jobs the other types seem content to ignore. Thoroughness and frugality are also virtues for Protectors. When they undertake a task, they will complete it if at all humanly possible; and they know the value of material resources and abhor the squandering or misuse of these resources.

errrrr not mine kind of future career but....
Protectors do well in many careers that have to do with conservation: curators, private secretaries, librarians, middle-managers, police officers, and especially general medical practitioners. ISFJs are methodical and accurate workers, often with very good memories and unexpected analytic abilities; they are also good with people in small-group or one-on-one situations because of their patient and genuinely sympathetic approach to dealing with others. ISFJs make pleasant and reliable co-workers and exemplary employees, but tend to be harried and uncomfortable in supervisory roles.

hmmmmm....
ISFJs are often unappreciated, at work, home, and play. Ironically, because they prove over and over that they can be relied on for their loyalty and unstinting, high-quality work, those around them often take them for granted--even take advantage of them.

wahahaha how true....

ISFJs are extremely warm and demonstrative within the family circle--and often possessive of their loved ones, as well.
ISFJs take infinite trouble over meals, gifts, celebrations, etc., for their loved ones

ISFJs have a few, close friends. They are extremely loyal to these, and are ready to provide emotional and practical support at a moment's notice.

now now.....is the real me? who knows

"crunch time"

guess everyone's heard about it... the bombings at bali...YET AGAIN...

haizzz...why do the dumb ass terrorist always gotta do such things?

you know why they are called "t (error) ist" cause everything they do will be wrong and lots of error in life!

they say religion compel them to do what they must do... i say which religion actually ask you to hurt others? its totally wrong of them to preach that!

innocent lives are at stake...

what are their reasons for doing such things? they say the western world is evil? errrr wake up can anot...

you mean asia is east and west is europe and americas? how about africa then? south? stupid right...asia can be west what...its all just meanings we give it to...

if you do not like how the governments are doing... stand up for your own future, do well, be decent enough to go into politics and make things better for everyone... dun go and ruin the common people livelihood...

well if you complain you are push to the limit... wah...where you got money to make bombs and buy weapons? stupid right... you mean having weapons of mass destructions will make you a better person? stupid ideology... nothing beats working hard for your livelihood...

study hard lah even if you lack education opportunities, i'm sure if you are willing to work hard, there is nothing in the world can stop you from learning and improving your own livelihood...

these "t(error) ist" really dumb... they make trouble, people have to stop trouble, and the circle goes round and round... wasting so much resources just to keep this thing going...

imagine the amount of money and effort wasted on rebuilding processes and the time the poor common people lost... every drop of these can be used to improve their lives and not back-track it...

imagine the amount of money that can be used to give education to hundreds of thousands of children and adults...

imagine the illnesses and diseases we can cure or fight to quell it down...

imagine the infrastructure of the country that can be improved or maintain...schools and hospitals can be built...roads, water and electricity supplies improved...

all these are being wasted...

imagine, mr osama had wanted to use his so-called millions wisely... he could have sponsored hundreds of poor orphans every year for early education, at least up to secondary standards, a decent education...

why would he wanna buy weapons that don't do good, take lives, and destroy almost everything in sight?

its all one wasted human opportunity...

"carpet bombing"

like the americans, who trusted their carpet bombing methods in vietnam, here too in singapore we started one... that is to wipe out the terrible aedes mosquitoes... blocks of areas are repeatedly fogged with pesticide to wipe out these pesky creatures

12th death today, a small number in such a case, but uneventful deaths and unnecessary deaths...

these cheeky little 'bas' 'tards' actually should say 'bitches' since only the ladies suck blood... then spread the dengue around, how coolz can that get? they do not realise the consequences!

lets hope either we stop them in their tracks, or try training some deadly assasins to take them out... =p

"where's our blogger's rights?"

front page news yes-today...

students got suspended for blogging remarks deemed unsatisfactory by their teachers and vice-principal...

some more, recently the schools started promoting blogging championships manz... how ironic?

well if you dun like someone, and you like to blog it down to let the world see, why cannot? does it harm you in any way... ok lets not bring any psychoanalysis into this as a factor...crapz hell with it... what mental or emotional breakdown on the "educator's" part... aren't they using their so-called authority to give the students a mental or emotional breakdown by not letting them blog? and to blog in a free and democratic manner?

oh come on all these crapz have been going on for so long, why take out on our bloggers?

the well known bloggers have been at it for years...starting as early as 2003 or even earlier... even myself started in 2002... pioneers to be exact...why and why only now do the news start picking on bloggin? why do people make a big fuss over bloggin? and why are we restricted?

blogging have been around for most part of the internet lifespan...geocities, hosted sites, manz the list was long...not until recently, new blogging tools helped shaped our craze for it...

i guess, its all about being harmonious...we give some we take some... take for example, the racist bloggers... man those dudes should be "hanged". oh come on if you hate people of a different race so much, go find yourself a new planet! we've got the moon and mars unoccupied...

and young"sters" please refrain from making too much remarks over whom you dislike or like...maybe in the new future we see things like "student expresses love for teacher over her blog".... ahahaha

well the "oldies" we're not above the law either i suppose, so alittle restrain might be good sometimes...but what the heck! we just love the way we're writing!
"Income Tax"

Singapore's income taxation is one of the lowest in the world, ok this is despite claims of, we're one of the lowest paid in the world...

well come 2006, those who earns up to $20,000 dun have to be taxed. the next $10,000 is taxed at 3.75% then the next $10,000 5.75%, then the next $40,000at 8.75%, then the next $80,000 at 14.5%, the the next $160,000 at 18% and finally anyone earning above $320,000 at 21%...

so we range from a mere 3.75% to 21% for individual income tax...
and our gst is at 5%

now lets stack this against other well known countries, that we often so like to emigrate to...

australia's tax ranges from 17% to 47% gst at 10%,

china's from 5% to 45% gst at 17%,

france's from 10% to 48% gst at 19.6%,

germany's from 15% to 42% gst at 16%,

hong kong's from 16% to 20%,

malaysia's from 1% to 28% gst at 5%,

japan's from 10% to 37%,

taiwan's from 6% to 40% gst at 5%,

USA's from 0% to 35%,

UK's from 0% to 40% gst at 17.5%....

how that sounds? weird ain't it... i mean, if you wanna see the breakdown of whom they tax, i tell you some of these countries will sound so ridiculous...even the lowest rungs who earn less than $10,000 gotta pay taxes...some joke

maybe its just a one sided affair...i didnt mention the salary over here... but i'm sure our salary is quite good

"smoking"

there's a buzz going on that here in Sg, the smokers are going to get their cold turkey in like 10 years time...thats if legislation will allow the ban of cigarettes...at least the sale of it =)

imagine a smoke free environment... woo hoo... =)

ok my 2 cents tots on this is... we can do it...

my logic behind this is simple, at $11/- bucks a week for a big packet of ciggies, thats going to cost you a huge $570 bucks or more...thats an average price and cost i remind everyone...

with that amount of money you could do quite a few bits of things thats going to make you enjoy your life alot better... ok dun mind me saying... i know smoking is some sort of enjoyment for smokers...but hey only you enjoy..the rest of us dun... so let's face it... thats a hefty price to pay a year...

all the programmes to help educate the masses that smoking is bad is not really helping at all...we need to push it further

i still see kids as young as 13 to 17 smoking along the pavements of back alleys to even more open spots in front of 7 Eleven stores...how they got their ciggies? older irresponsible youths age 18 and above buying for them? sounds interesting...

smoking is seen as cool and sociable, something the companies had put in great effort to advertise... ok you guys better not come suing me for this..hahaha

i think their marketing efforts are paying off =)

good effort i say, helping the young continue to smoke at an early age, they will probably love it to death...

ok lets see the list of things that is associated with smoking, its all just my listing no harm at all, lung cancer? throat cancer? tongue cancer? impotency? block arteries? brain cancer? damage to pregnancy chances? oh i could go on... just a few to list...

ok nuth said...

---------------------
scenario 1

now imagine if our great country is to go ahead with it... what's the cost? i think the country will benefit more...

ok fictional part... smoking is outlawed at public places and shelters, air-conditioned places, only 10% to 20% of pub and club spaces are smoking allocated places, smoking only allowed at designated yellow points with huge air-vents above slowly sucking the toxic smoke away to be blown upwards and away from pple, sale of ciggies is forbidden, and the only place you can buy ciggies is from the airport at one small box each time...

lost of income for the govt revenue? i doubt so, if everyone wanted to smoke so much then they just gotta head to the airport get a airticket at $500 bucks and buy a box at $20 to $30 bucks through the duty free shops...

no sale will be made at the budget airline areas though, so dun try to pull off any stuns...

go across the causeway they say, no way i say, you're restricted too, at 1 small box, any more and you'll be fined a $1,000 bucks and any ciggies you've confiscated...

so if on average $570 bucks is spent on ciggies, its no harm at all in imposing such strict rules...

well its not banning of smoking ciggies, its just banning the sale of ciggies...

---------------------

scenario 2

govt imposes heavy taxes on the ciggies...pushing prices to around $20 to $30 bucks a box... now, that will surely burn the pockets of all the smokers...thats like 2 fold increase of prices...

---------------------

so smokers, good luck to you all, non-smokers good luck to us all too... in this never ending debate of smoking, whether is it good or bad, healthy or not healthy, neither will win or lose...

its our choice to make, and if you know what's good for you, what you like to do, just do it... just make sure you know the CONSEQUENCES and dun REGRET

"exercise regime"

started my total body work out nearly 3 wks ago...now i'm feeling alot healthier

3 months from now i hope the new year will be different for me =)

jogging got started but kinda irregular thanks to the unpredictable weather... thought of heading to the gym for the tread-mail, but decided to give it a skip for more down to earth regular training

climbing up and down the 16 stories, flights of stairs is one small step for me to gain fitness levels... injuries might be more frequent on this regime...but easy does it will do...

regular sit-ups are a pain in the ass...so keeping to crunches at 3 sets of 20 during morning, noon and evenings... regular push-ups are subsituted with assisted ones a.k.a female push-ups to give toning to the upper body at minimum risks for now... same number of sets and reps at those same intervals...

well thats about it for now until end of the month... where the real works being...for now, everything seems to be paying off... feeling alot sharper, fitness levels are higher, body is feeling alot more better overall...

from october onwards should be a exciting one for me too... well wanna get fit and toned...before the year turns 2006 =)
"why the rich get richer, and the poor just gets poorer..."

imagine... how the banks charges you for every savings account that don't have the minimum of $500/- bucks or even $1,000/-, at $2/- per month

now imagine every month, you've got at least 200,000 people who are of the lowest rung in our society footing this $2/-

thats $400,000/- earned by the banks...per month, or roughly translated to $4.8 Million Bucks a year...

now imagine... how the banks gives 2% on average interest to wealthy customers for fixed deposits up to a cool 1 MILLION bucks! an annum...

and thats roughly at least $20,000 per annum earned... well thats the basics at least...not counting the daily interest they may earn... =(

and if our society got a thousand millionaires who put such a sum aside... the banks gotta pay them? a cool $20 Million...

now now...where do you think our banks gets its money to pay them?

so while the poor are losing $4.8 million a year... the rich are just getting richer $20 Million a year... now does it makes simple sense?

we gotta break down these absurd rules...if not we're never going to help the poor...

how many more generations of children must they suffer? how many more countless lives lost before we step out to help those who are needy? i myself dun have any clue...

i guess if the rich are willing to lend a hand to everyone who is needy, helpless, homeless... then only then we will move forward as a truly humane and human society =)

p.s. show us the money!

"dysfunctional family"

my life is being controlled so tightly, i'm beginning to feel the restraints that i once thought it didnt exist...

why are my parents, the older they become the more unrealistic, impractical, unreasonable and sometime uncontrollable?

will i become like them? most likely the answer lies in my genes... like being stubborn, being proud and 'must have face' kind of attitude, alittle paranoid, hot-tempered, mostly the unwanted stuff... and damn shit i hate this!

they are starting to control every aspect of your lives...as though i'm the living puppet... 'ok u must do this... you must do that'

i say heck shit! i dun deserve being treated like some freakin doll with a pretty face...

oh yes oh yes....

when i was younger, they say cannot 'pak tor' otherwise known as get a gf... ok fine... now that i'm older... they say 'hey you can start dating, its fine with us...' oh crapz...now then you say this...alittle bit too late too slow...all the whole way is already dating, you're left behind and probably all the good gals are paired up with the good guys and vice versa... so how good an advantage i have...

they say, it takes time to know someone... yeah right... it sure does...how you going to do that? when half the time you're going to be working at the office making ends meet... probably tired out to do anything by the evening... and the weekends are probably used to rest and for family days...so what time and chance do i stand? go to hell i say!

i know i know i got all the grounds covered...some will say...i just gotta make time... duh...who dunno, you think i god or what?! if i can create time i won't be here... its all about planning? yes i know... but you need time to plan huh? ok so what i dun have the whole thing covered...

i'm sticking to being how i'm now...the way i like it... no strings attached no commitment to no one...just myself...

i think i'm better off travelling off to some other country to learn stuff than to stay in singapore and listen to all these crapz...all the lies and deceit are hurting my ears... i've since long forgotten when i started to listen thru' one ear and out the other...

it's a matter of time before i break out from this circle... the circle i once called family and home
